    OE6 messages disappeared!!!!

As my OE6 was compacting messages automaticaly, my PC crashed. After re booting some important emails in certain folders disappeared. I did a system restore but to no avail. Is there anyway I may find and restore them please?
    Thank you.

hmmm--A disruption while compacting can be deadly. OE messages are in .dbx files (like Inbox.dbx). If you are lucky you may find these messages in your Recycle Bin with names like Inbox.bak. See

Only last night I managed to recover all folders, apart from one which I am not worried about, by using DBXtract.
    Appreciate it.

hmmm--Great news! Thanks for posting back.
Nothing much you can do when the PC crashes during OE compacting, but in the future, disconnect OE from the internet before compacting to minimize the chances of OE activity.
