Saddam Hussein executed
Saddam Hussein, who ruled Iraq with ruthless force and led his people into three devastating wars while pursuing his goal of dominating the Arab world, was executed by hanging . He was 69.
Whether as president of Iraq, a self-proclaimed leader of the anti-American insurgency or rambunctious courtroom defendant, Hussein cast a large shadow over world events and the nation that he controlled for most of the last 40 years.

I think the speed and secrecy had alot to do with preventing potential demonstrations and violence. The Iraqi supreme court only yesterday (I think) upheld the conviction on appeal.

Saddam had one last request before his execution, he wanted to look good when he went to the gallows, so the US Government sent the fab 5 over. BJ

it's a chance to be reunited with all his offspring. Besides Uday and Ebay, there's Noway (the pessimist), Goway (the hermit), and his only daughter, Bootay.
There is nothing to fear, but life itself.

Saddam Hussatan. It's not exactly like he was a positive contribution to society anyways.
Bash him into the ground, make jokes and call him names while he's alive...Revere him when he dies. Pathetic.

It figures that the article was run on CNN. The same outfit which thinks showing pictures of the hanging (or of the planes hitting the Trade Center towers, for that matter) would be traumatic for the American viewer, while blithely showing terrorist sniper attacks on Alliance forces because it's news. Delicate and tender?? Put him through one of Uday's meat grinders, he'll be delicate and tender.
