Trend Micro Housecall On-line scan - Keeps Closing

When I scan with this, it starts without a problem. I will walk away and let it scan and when I come back then the web page that it is scanning on automatically closes. I don't get to see if there is anything wrong with my system. Is this normal? This has happened on 3 computers using updated EZTrust AV, ZA free edition, XP Home, and IE 6.0 (all with latest updates).

I'm not sure although I've seen it happen before. Odd that it happens on more than one computer. If it was a problem that you couldn't connect to the site at all and could't connect to any other online scanner then I'd suggest the possibility that a virus had made entries into your hosts file preventing those connections but that isn't the case.

Try clearing the browsers cache (temp int files) and cookies on one of the PCs and redownloading the engine and dat files and try it again but choose the alternate method that you chose last time (Java vs Browser plugin).
