    pdf to html

    Hi folks,
I found a freeware program that ostensibly will convert .pdf files to .html (could be very handy) at:
    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pdf2html.html
    PDF2HTML
    Publisher WebSite
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdftohtml/

"Pdftohtml is a command-line tool that translates .pdf documents into html format. It offers several parameters, including options to create output with or without using HTML frames, ignore or include images, translate internal pdf links and more."
Note: Requires Ghostscript, but only for complex image conversions

    Download http://www.snapfiles.com/php/downloa...g=262550&loc=2

My problem is that I can't figure out how to install it. I think it must be the "command line" thing; frankly I don't know what that means - true confessions I used to know a bit of DOS, but when I double-clicked on the downloaded .exe, a DOS window ran very quickly, and I have no idea what it said. So, please help, how do I install this program?
    Thanks in advance,
    Chas

If you download it from the official site here, you'll get a later version that hasn't had the documentation removed. It's a command line app, you run it like this:
    Code:
    pdf2html filename.pdf
If you need GhostScript, it's available at http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/.
Safe computing is a habit, not a toolkit.
