 ..... What is this mean?
By using Nvu I have prepared my my first ever web page. Although it looks fine on my IE7 and Firefox browsers I am baffled with this signs of " "s. What are they, did I do something wrong?
Also can you please show me exactly where I am supposed to put "key words" in?
Gosh I hope I am making sense....Thank you.

Hi Hmmm perhaps this will clarify it for you
What is ? Is it needed?
Short Answer
is the entity used to represent a non-breaking space. It is essentially a standard space, the primary difference being that a browser should not break (or wrap) a line of text at the point that this occupies.

Thank you for your answer ecross.
Can I please Ask you to spare few minutes for me. Is there any chance you could copy and paste your "code" into my above "page code" where it suppose to be in...if you could highlight it too it would be a great help.
Should one put this sort of codes into every page or only the Home page please?
Thank you.

Yes, I'll place the code into your post above in bold. If it really matters to you, your page doesn't validate and contains errors. Check out the following link and upload the page.

Each page will be different.
A google search for HTML tutorials
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=HTML+tutorials
is how I got started.
http://www.w3schools.com/html/ Helped me a lot when I got started. Also bought a html book for quick reference.
