PC-Write used to be a great little word processor way back when. I used it all the time. It was shareware if I recall correctly. WordStar was the king then. Word Perfect was an upstart. At that time nobody ever heard of Microsoft Word.

That was back in the days when you fit the entire program on one floppy disk.
Whether it be 5 1/4 or 3 1/2. It all ran off one disk. Maybe two if you ran spellcheck.
Lotus 123 ran off of one floppy disk.

Back then, the size of the code mattered because of hard drive sizes.
They were small and expensive. 40 meg was considered huge!

It never crashed either!

Now they dont care. Hard drives are cheap. Programmers write sloppy code.
To type ABC in Microsoft Word anymore gobbles up how much hard drive space?
1+1=2 in all versions of any spreadsheet. Now that gobbles up at least 100 meg.

Newer does not mean better.

The copywright most likely has expired by now.
Meaning that it is considered public domain by the author.
