Resolved [RESOLVED] Program stopping updates maybe????

Hello All, i seen a link to a program that stopped microsoft update from automatically downloading or showing I.E.7 on VirtualDr a few weeks or so ago.

I tried to download and install Update Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 but, windows update does not show it and i have tried the Fix below, but, i have Not got Microsoft net framework 886904.
Could it be that program i installed that blocking it on the Microsoft update website???If so, how do i remove it???

Have got the two updates installed below, but not the 886904 one

Note To install this update, you must have Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 installed. Windows Update detects whether these packages are installed. Windows Update automatically installs these packages for you.

If the 886904 update is installed, you must uninstall the 886904 update before you install Update Rollup 2 for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. Otherwise, the .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 installation will not succeed.

To determine whether the 886904 update is installed, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
    2. Click to select the Show Updates check box.
    3. In the Currently installed programs list, look for the following item:
Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix (KB886904)

    Thanks, GEP

Hello all, went on the Microsoft update site, and changed from Express, to Custom. All i needed was in there.

    Downloaded and sorted
