Browser losing access
I am on a small LAN, Windows XP Home, I connect via DSL. The way it is setup is the DSL router is connected to a Belkin network router. Everyone is hardwired (except for 1 or 2 PC's) to the Belkin router. Lately once a day I am unable to access sites. I am able to get email while the browser does not respond. The problem goes away once I reboot the two routers-network and DSL.

Does it happen "after" the pc has sat idle?
If so, look in Device Manager->Network Adaptor properties->Power management and disable the power saver..
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

No. It happens when I am browsing. Often when I am typing and updating my webpage.
I can access AOL and email at the same time the browser is not working. As soon as I unplug and reboot those routers it works.

Have you checked for a update for your router?

I do not have personal access to the router. If I can give describe why it would need an update maybe he will contact tech support to do that (Belkin or Verizon DSL). Can you tell me why only the browser is losing internet access and not the email and AOL?

Should I update the DSL router or the Belkin network router? How would I go about doing it?

Same problem with my Belkin router
I'm having the same problem you're describing. My downloads with Azureus will continue fine, as will World of Warcraft. My browser (any browser) will stop working, as it will not be able to load a page.
I've tried performing NSLOOKUPs and they work just fine, so it's not a DNS issue. Could port 80 be getting blocked somehow? And why??
I have the latest bios, should I reflash it anyway?
Does anyone know what's up with this POS Belkins?
