    Tried blowing compressed air at processor during start up, also have both sides off of case.
    Am considering fine adjustment with a large hammer.

    I agree, about time to look into getting a new mobo/cpu.

    Kind of acting like mine did when the ide controller was going out.

    Thanks for all the help - finally discovered 3 leaky capacitors (rust like marks on top) next to the power connection for the cpu fan.
