Old man in Texas is happy!
Hi Friends,
Got home from work a couple hours ago, found my new DVD burner from Newegg waiting there on the front porch for me, and I jumped into action! Had the burner hooked up and the RC2 ISO file being burned in record time. But, alas! The machine would not boot from the DVD player. Did some troubleshooting, and discovered that there was only one file on the DVD, the ISO file. Grrrr! In my haste, I had simply burned that one file to the DVD, rather than telling Nero to burn the image of the ISO. (Anyone out there admit to having ever done that?)
Having RC2 fired up and running here now makes me very pleased that I decided to give it a try. Until a few minutes ago, I had never seen Vista, and I must say that the visual "polish and shine" that I've seen in the first few minutes of being on this new computer with Vista are indeed a delight.
This is fun! I realize that I have a lot of learning to do, but just wanted to say that much computer happiness and pleasure is running rampant down here in south Texas among the elderly!
I'll look forward to learning more from some of you good folks out there...
Happy computing!

Too many times
I'm liking vista too but I will like it even more once I have played with all the features. I have it installed on my laptop and not on my main rig, for obvious reasons.
So far so good, apart from the annoying security pop ups.
