Is this right??
Hi all,
I just recieved an e-mail from my brother and he said that he's just bought another pc, he was given a router from his ISP and wanted to know how he can get the new pc using the net upstairs using his router, now i told him he will have to buy a USB network device and configure it to his router, is this right??
Also he wants to move files from one pc to the other while on the network is this possible.
Thanks

It doesn't necessarily have to be USB. Most computers have onboard networking, and you can get wired or wireless networking through PCI or PCMCIA on desktops or laptops, repsectively.
Once the computers are on the network it's possible to share files, assuming things are configured correctly.
