Game videos.....
Hi gang....
I'm curious about something....
I go to alot those video sites like Youtube and such....and sometimes I see videos from actual gameplay from a computer game like Halo or something.

How are these videos recorded? Some special program? Does the game need to support something special?

I always wondered that too... I just assumed they were recording it with a digi cam or camcorder and then editing it

The quality is really good on some.....so I figured it had to be an internal recording as opposed to setting up a cam in front of the monitor.....
Hope someone knows.....

It's done with screen capturing programs. There are dozens, perhaps more of them..

Basically you'd just run it and it would make an avi of the screen or a window on the screen that you'd select.
Snagit is very popular.

Screen capture can take video in addition to snapshots.......?
