    Game videos.....

    Hi gang....

    I'm curious about something....

I go to alot those video sites like Youtube and such....and sometimes I see videos from actual gameplay from a computer game like Halo or something.

    For example..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKHxa...elated&search=

How are these videos recorded? Some special program? Does the game need to support something special?

    Thanks....

    love the vid

I always wondered that too... I just assumed they were recording it with a digi cam or camcorder and then editing it

The quality is really good on some.....so I figured it had to be an internal recording as opposed to setting up a cam in front of the monitor.....

    Hope someone knows.....

It's done with screen capturing programs. There are dozens, perhaps more of them..

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...reen+capturing

Basically you'd just run it and it would make an avi of the screen or a window on the screen that you'd select.

    Snagit is very popular.
