USB 2.0 Device not Working

Not Often I ask questions in here these days, as you learnt me how to solve my Probs...BUT--Alas---I can't seam to solve this un.----
All USB 2.0 devices worked before a Re-Format and Re-Install of XP pro.... AND--This Time as I'm useing this PC to Try out New Programs, I HAVE Installed ALL Microsofts UPDATES...(don't all cheer at once) because i have been against it...1GBt Updates..That's OBSCENE.


I have a "TRUST 5 Port USB 2.0 PCI Card" With a USB 2.0 1GBt Pen Drive & a USB 2.0 Card Reader....NIETHER will work as a USB 2.0 for some reason...
All this is on my OLD Athlon PC that has Run OK before..Did the New Install on Monday.. (everything else is 100% OK)

In My Comp Proerties--In Disk Drivers--I have, 4x Generic Storage Device USB Device besides my HDD...
Universal Serial Bus Controllers has these----
USB Mass Storage Device.
5x USB Root Hubs
2x VIA REV 5 or Later USB Universal HOST Companian Controllers
2x VIA Rev 5 or Later USB Universal Host Controllers.
VIA USB Enhanced Host Controller.

In above I have changed the last un to VIA USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller and then USB 2.0 WON't Work..Won't start.
All will work as Generic with the Above lot.

Safely Remove Hardware is telling me that "Hi Speed USB Devise Attached To NON Hi Speed Hub...

Before the Format, the Above Universal Serial Bus Controllers was Exactly the Same and ALL my USB 2.0 Devices Worked....

So How can I fix this PLEASE..

Did you install the chipset and or USB drivers for the mobo?

Hi Steve----When I install the Trust USB Drivers the USB stops working..Why its doing that I don't know...
As regards the chipset drivers--don't that get installed with the Via 4in1 drivers, or have I managed to leave something out!! ?
I've gotten so Involved and Learnt more about my 64bit new PC that i've forgoten lots about my old Athlon KG7--THANKS for comeing in.
