Excel font color
When ever I try to change font color it is set to auto and has red selected as color should be black excel locks up and has to be restarted.
Excel 2002, I have tried running the repair option no help have tried option settings as well as tool bar to change also clicking directly on font size will make it shut down. Anyone with any suggestions???
I assume that a reinstall would fix it
I feel that this started when downloading a excel file from a friend about 6 months ago and has crept into my version some how or from installing different printer drivers

That'd be what I'd try first ... an over-the-top reinstall, (or a Repair if the option is available).

Before you do that, find the files "Book.xlt" and "Sheet.xlt" and rename or delete them, and see if that resets the normal behaviour.

I can find no files that are plain Book.xlt or Sheet.xlt I do have ---- Sheet.xlt that are mostly under templates
