DFS replication

We are having problems replicating between sites.
I increased the staging area, and I was wondering to test.
Can I just drop a file into one of the folders, that replicates to other
sites and is it suposed to automatically appear at the other sites?
Or will it appear when the replication time goes off.

I did drop a file into a folder and checked another site and it did not appear
at the other site.

Can someone explain.

Sounds like you're describing File Replication errors (FRS). Download FRSDiag from the Microsoft Site. I used this utility just last week and resolved my issue of logon script replication....
