[RESOLVED] Recommended available free space
Greetings!
Re Win XP: What is the recommended available free space (percentage) within a given partition (assuming fixed paging file)?

I think it was 2.2 times the amount of your RAM.

An absolute minimum of 2GB. Obviously the percentage depends on the size of the partition. Personally I'd be thinking about having a serious clean up, or getting a bigger drive, if it ever got less than 5GB.

I should have mentioned that it was in reference to a Windows XP partition. I have 15GB partition with 5GB unused space. I suppose a percentage would not apply since demand for bytes are fixed and not proportional or percentages. :-)
