Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game? Have you done any maintenance on your computer lately? Defrag harddrive, disk clean up or chkdsk?

I thought fair-use also included 'library' type use where I could loan a game to my friend as long as I uninstalled it first. Well, he could be using it for news reporting, right?

Fair use was enacted for primarily for use of copyrighted materials, not games. But as long as the original owner has uninstalled the game from his pc, then this game can be used on any other pc. Some games have a key in them that will tell you if you try to install it on another pc, it won't work.
Not relevant to this situation as I've found that this error message he's getting is related to MSI, and probably updating his video driver would fix the problem.

YEH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOO!!! YEYEYEYEYEYEYEYEYEYE! mann finelly! i figured it out and fixed the boody thing! an a pretty weird way 2, i tried everysinge thing and a such lil detail fixed it
I fixed it by changing company name in the registry
and i also renamed the system to Microsoft Windows Your Mum! lol after dat bm it works, i think it was because my company name was a lil complicated and fancy " "S|\/|B" " i just changed it to "taras" and thats it!
Steps to modify the company name in the registry
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open text box, type regedit, and then click OK to open Registry Editor.
3. Locate the following registry key path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
4. Right-click RegisteredOrganization, and then click Modify to modify the value.
