    where can I get a 160mm fan?

    looking all over, they aren't too easy to find it seems.
    I found two places to far, there was a third, but it was $50

    Most 160's are commercial and sound like a squadron of of F-14s at maximum military power with afterburners.

    I think I am gonna get the one from mpja, cause seems every other fan it's size costs nearly $50. Only problem is they require at least a $15 order, so I think I am going to get a $5 multimeter as well.
    I plan on undervolting the fan to 5V. or getting a 24V one and run it on 12V. either way I don't plan on running it at anything above 30dBA

    Though I am starting to think that getting this fan might not be worth it. It might not really be that good when trying to run it quiet.. Though getting a 160mm fan just to say I have one would be enough for me.

    FWIW, Pabst is a good brand, and that looks like a very reasonable price too. You'd have a heck of a job finding a 24v fan, BTW, unless you can find something from a truck - they use 24 VDC systems.

    Most trucks are wired 24VDC only for the starter. The rest of the electrical system is 12VDC.

    Military trucks are 24VDC completely.

    Possibly you can hook up a AC fan with a contactor to turn on the fan when you start the computer. BUT, be careful there.

    I've seen many 24v and 48v fans so far...
    in fact, look at that second link.. they require you to get a quote though.. I bet they are expensive... specially if I only want one..

    and yeah, I think I am going to get the pabst fan...

    what type of connector you think the pabst fan uses?

    5" wire leads

    I would say the ends are just bare wires. So you would have to coe up with a means of connecting them.
