Office 2007 Public Beta
Linky: http://www.microsoft.com/office/prev...etthebeta.mspx
I'm getting the full Pro suite as we speak.
Enjoy.....and don't moan if things don't work, key word here people is beta
And as the servers are sluggish from time to time you can have the CD mailed to you, which is nice.

well that was amazingly easy. and for me the servers where very good, only had to wait a minute for it all at 8000kb/s
only problem is I’m working with some rather important data on Excel so i will leave it a week until i take the risk to upgrade.
Also how long is the beta valid until?

I think it's Feb 1, 2007.

Well, my Word and Outlook won't activate, so it looks like it'll be valid for 50 days.
Little taster:

neither will mine. won't connect to server but i thought it was cause it had problems with my proxy server. but maybe it's a bigger problem then?

also my installation wasn't so straight forward. it came up telling me to 'close this program before installation could complete', but then it listed no programs! so i just choose ignore and went on.

I downloaded it right after I saw this post last night. I haven't tried to install it yet as I want to put it on my computer at work instead of my home computer. Having said all that, I visited one of my other forums and those guys said they're not having any problems with activation. Maybe the servers were busy when you guys tried.....?

Me too, yay.
Only problem now, and i'm not moaning it's just the search thingie that has to be installed seperately, and firing up task manager, it runs in the background, so i stopped it, ran outlook, and it started again, so i watched it and it ran upto about 60-70mb usage, so i hope they fix that.

Question. Are any of you running this on a separate partition?

oh ok. I just wondered if any of you were because I would rather have this on my 200gb drive which has loads of space, where as my 40gb has little space.
