Resolved [RESOLVED] Dual Monitor on a 7900GT -- Not Working Right

Hello, and thanks already (Because you guys always help me out)

I have 2 monitors, one widescreen, and one not. I am trying to set up a dual monitor display with a 7900GT and it isn't working out that well. I can't seem to just 'make another screen' like I did with my old ATI card. It seems that it has to be some odd resolution I've never seen before, things like (Not sure to be exact) 2056x1280. I really would just like to have another monitor, for when I am gaming, for example: to recieve instant messages, or check my email on, while I'm idle in the game. I'm not really sure what to do.

Also, when I try to play the games, now, it only displays as I can play max res. on 1 monitor at 1024x768... which is quite odd. Also it shuts down the other monitor.

All in all I would like to be able to get Max res. on both of my monitors, not a 'stretched screen.'

If it would have to be a stretched screen, but I could still get max res, that would be fine too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Once again, thanks in advance.

I assume you are running Windows XP?

If so, go to Display Properties>Settings, and select the secondary monitor, then check "Extend my Windows desktop to this monitor". Once that is done you should be able to set each monitors resolution (and refresh rate if applicable) independently.
