[XP] Scanner missing CNQ5200.DAT file
Hi there,
I am now pulling my hair out!
I have a Canon scanner 5200f, reinstalled, installed, reinstalled, installed etc etc. It can't select the Twain source. It doesn't go.
I have updated the driver from the Canon site (they're not that helpful apart from that) and it now tells me that the CNQ5200.DAT file is needed.
Can someone help me, I did a search on this file on Google and no-go.
Thanks.

Do a search/Find in C:\ for that file.
When you uninstalled, did you reboot before doing the reinstall?

Hi Train
Thanks for responding back to me.
I found the file, it was a hidden file, so I copied and pasted and put it in the right spot. The hardware is now installed.
However, I'm back to my original problem which is why I reinstalled a number of times and that is the scanner is "unable to select TWAIN source".
In the Windows file I noticed there is the twain_32.dll which is the server and there is a TWAIN.DLL file as well (I am assuming that this file must be something to do with it).
Do you think you can help me?
Thanks.

Not for a while as I do not have a scanner attached to any computer at this location. Hopefully, someone can help you out.
