[XP] Headphone Reccomendations!
Hey guys. I'm looking for a good headset. (preferably a surround sound headset) I was wondering if something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836502003 would take advantage of an XFI sound card. If not, is there a headset (Meaning, including a microphone) that could take advanatage of it for, preferably, less then $70 ? If there's a pair of headphones (with no microphone) for that much, but don't have a mic, it's OK too. Although, as I am a gamer, I would really like a mic attached to them. I've looked around, and haven't really found anything that could take advantage of an Xfi card, in a headset.
You guys have yet to let me down!
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I've also heard many good things about this headset... And it's the better part of $30!

True 5.1 Surround Sound Headset Comparison
http://www.amdzone.com/modules.php?o...tid=249&page=1
Intro...
With Creative's new X-Fi series, 5.1 surround sound has never sounded better. Hooked up to a good set of 5.1 speakers and you are immersed in a utopian world of 3d sound. The problem is, sometimes headphones are just more appropriate for your environment (such as late at night, or when you go to a LAN). If you use VOIP when gaming, your fellow gamers will also appreciate it if you use your headset instead of your speakers. We took three of the top 5.1 true surround headsets (and one binaural headset) and tested out just how well they would perform with our 5.1 sound card, and Battlefield 2, which is optimized to fully utilize the Surround power of the card.
Setup...
The Creative X-Fi Fatality sound card provided the base for our test bed. Just to make sure system performance didn't hinder us, we used one gig of ram and an AMD FX57 processor all powered by an Enermax 565. For the sound test, we played a few songs using the Creative Mediasource and couple of demos that we created on Battlefield 2. To test out the low bass, we used 50cents's Candy Shop while Pump it, by Black Eyed Pea, provided us with some short punchy bass. For more instruments, including some high cymbal crashes, we used Korn's Got the life. Then, just because, we used Christmas Eve in Sarajevo from Trans-Siberian Orchestra. We chose Battlefield 2 for our 3d environment because it already supports our X-Fi soundcard wonderfully. We created two demos for our test. The first one was just a single player interacting with the environment and vehicles while the second one had 64 players "interacting" with each other (including an artillery strike). To make sure everything sounded right, we tested out our Logitech Z-5300e 5.1 speakers first (Of course, we had to made sure the neighbors were not home first). Being very pleased with the sound, we brought out the headsets.
The lineup...
We chose our headsets based on the fact that they could not be USB and that we did not need an extra decoder. Since we are connecting them to a 5.1 sound card to begin with, why should we carry around extra hardware?
...continues...
Any help?

There's only one brand of headphones/headsets as far as I'm concerned, and that's Sennheiser. I've tried a lot over the years, but I've only been truly happy with my Sennheisers

Very helpful. Thanks guys, I'll consider the Sennheiser, but they are a tad expensive! I've decided, for now, to get a cheaper headset, and in the future, upgrade to a nicer one (such as a sennheiser.)
