    Question BIOS Has Unknown Password

I am working on a computer which has a password on the BIOS settings. However, the owner does not know what the password is, nor has any knowledge of what the BIOS settings are. Is there a way to get around the password requirement to review and change BIOS settings if needed? I thought I once remember reading about this, but I have no idea where. Plus, I have not had to deal with such an issue in the past, so I continue to build my knowledge. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Jody Wood

We can't really help, as someone could use this to get around a legality, so we can only recommend www.google.com.

Or if you look in your motherboard manual it should tell you how to clear the password.

Ok, thanks. I will refer to Google for more. Should probably have looked there first.

I would look in the motherboard manual if I had one ... I'll try to see if I can find it online with the manufacturer.

    Thanks for your feedback.
