Resolved [RESOLVED] [Pro] Windows doesn’t know best!

    hi,
hopefully a quick answer here. i need to know how you can stop XP from giving you a prioritised list when you go to start, programs. it only shows me my most used one's and it's really annoying, i want to see them all. i had this done before a recent clean install and forgot how to get it back. so anyone know?

Right click 'Start' buton>Properties>start menu tab. Put a tick in 'Classic Start menu' at bottom. Click the 'customize' button and put a check in whatever you want on your start menu...
    Stupid question? No such thing!

I suspect that you are complaining about the dreaded "Personalised Menus" feature which many Microsoft progs like Office have?

To remove them from XP, right click on the Start button, choose Properties, Customise, Advanced Start menu options and untick the bottom option which is Use Personalised Menus.

Once you have done that, all the items on your start menus will open without that irritating built-in delay.

To quote a hoary old joke: probably because they think you are XPendable -even though you are a god? :-)
