[XP] Windows XP!!!?
Yes!! My computer is finally done! My memory was bogus, so I had to buy some new, and its finally done!! . Well, just wondering, could I use my Windows XP CD key from my Dell without the 30 day expiration thing? Or would I have to register it?? Or should I just go out and spend the 100 some dollars on Windows XP?

No you can't use a Dell CD, you'll need to buy a proper Windows CD.

What cd (disk) are you going to use to install the OS? If its the Dell cd it won't work as it is configured for Dell computers (mainboard drivers/ bios settings). You might better bite the bullet and buy a new OS to avoid any problems with your computer and Microsoft. I bought a XP CD from ebay a few months ago thinking I was getting a hellofdeal. I paid $110.00 including shipping. It cost me another $149.00 to make it legal. Long story Lesson learned!

The Dell CD key simply won't work. You need to find the keys for the Windows CDs.
