losing connectivity once a day

I have a HP PC with WinXP home edition SP2. I connect to the internet with a Realtek RTL8139/81x Fast Family Ethernet NIC. That runs an RJ45 cable to the Belkin wireless adapter. The adapter then runs a cable to the Verizon Westell 2200 DSL router/bridge?. Every day once a day at no particular hour, my browser cannot access any sites. I can ping everything, tracert etc.
I can send and receive email. I cannot get any sites until I pull the power plug out of the Belkin adapter and put it back in. Then it works right away without fail. One other pc that connects via this Belkin adapter by wireless never has the problem.

I had the same problem with a Belkin wireless router and a USB wireless adapter on the PC. A replacement Belkin unit did not fix the problem. The solution was to replace the hardware with a Linksys wireless router and a Linksys wireless adapter card for the PC. Probably not what you want to hear though.

You could try assigning a static IP address to the problem PC to see if that corrects the issue.
