    [Home] upgrade

    Currently have XP Home edition on a laptop with ample drive (80g) space and 512mb ram.
    I have a XP Pro upgrade disk (with multi-user licence) I been using on our Win 98 pc's. My question is, can you upgrade XP Home to XP Pro. Sounds silly but never done it.

    Yes.

    Very simple, your settings should come over just fine. Of course, do a backup of your data anytime you're doing OS work. Good luck!
