Resolved [RESOLVED] I'm having problems with the MS Beta Client

I'm trying to submit a couple of IE7 bug reports, but everytime I try and submit them I get the following error:

    Error writing report:
Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.FileCab, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)
I have not the slightest idea of where to get help with bugs in the bug reporting software If anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful.
    Nick.

Obviously a problem their end, but may be worth reporting the bug to the bug reporting software creators. This link can help with the error: http://blogs.msdn.com/suzcook/archiv.../29/57120.aspx you may want to forward the link to them....

The beta newsgroups? Connect has login details.

I got in touch with my MVP guy at MS and he put me on to the appropriate Beta Client guy. If it helps anyone else, it seems that the problem was caused by updating an earlier version. Go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall both instances of the Beta Client, then download the latest version (currently 1.20.2237) from the MS Connect site and install it. After that all will be well.
