    rid and schema restore

    in the restore of ad ,it's always mentioned that avoid restoring rid and schema master .

    How do i go abt it,by authoritative restore....

    What are you trying to restore? Normally, you would only restore what is missing (OU's, Computer/User accounts, etc.).

    If you've lost your one and only Domain Controller, then you have no choice but to perform a full restore...

    its a full restore.for objects recv normally authoritative restore would be ok.
