    Manually turning off monitor

Is there a pre-defined feature in Windows XP Professional SP2 that allows me to turn off my monitor via a shortcut key combination? Currently my monitor turns off after 20 minutes, but sometimes I want to force it to turn off manually (without actually having to press the power button).

    Thanks.

There is a Google item on this but Websense is blocking me from looking at it.

If I'm understanding you correctly: Right click desktop>properties>screensaver tab>power button>Set power schemes to always on>set 'turn off monitor' menu to 'never'

Unless you can find a third party program, don't think Windoze has a timer feature for shutting off peripherals.
    Stupid question? No such thing!
