Alt+Print Screen NO PRINT!!!
Is there anyway to do the screen capture Alt+PrintScreen without printing? Every time I do Alt+PrintScreen...Windows or whatever program I'm "capturing" a screen copy of...prints the screen copy. I need to do screen copying without the printing.
To err is human. To forget to turn the NumLock on is just plain stupid.

Alt+PrintScreen is supposed to capture the "active" window.
What happens if you just do print screen.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

See...we have a new program called Right Fax. It allows users to fax from their computer. 99.9% of the time Customer Service needs to fax a copy of the screen to customers. In order to do this through Right Fax...they have to capture the active screen as you said and paste it into Word. Save that document then attach that document to the fax in Right Fax. It isn't like Outlook where you can just paste the screen capture. However when they do Alt+Print Screen to capture the screen...it also prints the screen to their slave printer. This is unnecessary and wastes a lot of paper. I need to know if there is some way to turn this printing off?

That isn't normal Windows behaviour - Alt+PrtScrn should merely save the screenshot to the Windows Clipboard, and nothing else. It must be a program that is causing that printout, and the firts place to look would probably be that fax program.
Nick.
