    Wireless + Keys

Well, i've been brainstorming about my own setup and I was wondering about wireless LANs.

Do typical wireless hubs have public/private key protection?
If I have a router or NAT Router, will the wireless machines be able to see my wired machine on the same router?
Will I be able to control my wired machine if behind a router or NAT router?
If I am behind a router/NAT, should I get a wireless router (if there is such a thing, i dont know )?

    Just wanted to know

    Hello Jawsh,

Yes, wireless routers do have encryption keys you can assign them for protection. Wireless is no different than wired when it comes to file and printer sharing. You will be able to access your files on any computer regardless how they are connected. I suggest you look at wireless cards and routers (or access points) that have support for WPA.

WPA is wonderful WEP is BROKEN.

But the main thing i was wondering was if HUBS have keys that protect them or is it only the routers?

I've never seen a wireless hub. There are access points. Is that what you mean?

Yes, you can control your wired machine behind a NAT router. What operating systems are we working with?
