Linksys PPS1UW print server and canon mp730 printer. it is said there is a compatibility problem but apparentlt this setup has worked fine for over two years now all of a suden it will work for a day or two then the print jobs will go no where just sends but no output. so i unplug everything plug it all back in and it works again for a few days or more. there was another thread where it was mentioned that it may have been due to me using dhcp so i changed the whole setup to static and that didn't work. this isn't my setup so i just can't write it off. this is for a business that desperatly needs this printer to work. my dad siad it sounds like the spooler is getting full because it will print several pages then just stop working all together.

the reason it stopped working was because the wireless adapter somehoe got disabled. i can remote into that machine and noticed that the wireless adapter was disabled but try as i might i couldn't enable it. in fact it froze the machine for about 15 minutes. finally i restarted the machine and was able to remove and reinstall the adapter via device manager. after i got it reinstalled it started printing fine.

question: why would the adapter suddenly get disabled. the users aren't one's to mess around with it.
