    Graphics

Hi, I can play games on my PC but they are very slow, someone suggested a new graphics card only i dont know what to buy and how id know if it would be compatable with my pc?

The only thing i can find on my pc to do with graphics is the following :- Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller.

Does any one know how I can upgrade my graphics?
    TIA

You would need to post your motherboard specs, please download Everest from my sig and run it, go to the motherboard section and post the info you find.

The graphics mentioned is onboard.(Built into the motherboard) What games are you looking to play with a new card?

It would be helpful to know what processor you have as well, as upgrading the graphics card doesn't always help much if the problem is that the processor can't feed it data fast enough. Everest will tell you that too.

It should be pretty simple, all we need to know now is how much you want to spend on a card?

Then when you've decided on one (we'll make suggestions) you can simply go into your BIOS and disable the onboard graphics, install the new AGP card, and play some games.

I'd just like to be certain that there is an AGP slot, as Everest doesn't say one way or the other. Take the side off the case and make sure that there is one fitted - this is what it looks like (they're usually brown, but some boards may use a different colour):
