Mirrored Drives & Licensing
I have a server someone else built.
It has 2 HDs, how can I determine whether it is a mirrored partition?
I went into Disk Manager and it only see's one disk.
It is a generic machine.
Also How can I tell if the machine was configured as per server or per device?
Thanks.

What kind of hardware is in this machine? Is the RAID on it hardware or software?
From the sounds of it, if Disk Manager sees one drive, you might be looking at a hardware RAID solution. You'd need to find out how to access your particular RAID card's BIOS.

Yeah, it sounds like hardware RAID. There should be a section for the RAID controller during the boot process, which will indicate a keystroke (typically Ctrl-A, Ctrl-F, Ctrl-I depending on manufacturer) to use to view/change the RAID config.
To check the licensing mode, go to Control Panel | Licensing.
Safe computing is a habit, not a toolkit.
