Yep It should be fine, and i'm officially jealous of the graphics power you're gonna have. Good luck with the upgrade.

I Googled that series, if i read it right it's 4x/8x--it will accept either, and set itself automatically to the card type.

Was a site with reviews; I clicked on a Foxconn model name that looked like alphabet soup but it mentioned 650/651 chipset I think. Probably picked the wrong one. Go with what Everest or the manufacturer say. By the way, I couldn't find a Foxconn mobo site! All there was was one with optical cables, or something like that.

Question going nuts looking for a graphics card!

I have been researching this stuff for hours, maybe days, and i'm getting a headache. computer are relatively new to me. to put it simply i want a graphics card and i'm willing to spend around 100$. I have a game sitting in front of me that i want to make sure i can play called "the movies" I just got a computer today and here are the specs:
    AMD sempron 3100 (1.8 ghz)
    512 DDR ram
I have an AGP slot (8x), no pci express
I'm willing to buy something like that radeon 9800 but my problem is this: i dont know if my computer meets the minimum requirements to run the card! the ati website says specifically that a pentium 4 processor is need or an athlon. but other websites say pentium 3 is ok. I have no clue basically if this will run on my computer or not and i really would rather not buy this card only to find it doesnt work. So this is my main question: will radeon 9800 work on my computer??
another seperate question. in the 'system requirements' on the back of the box of this game it says that my graphics card must be 100% compatible with directx 9.0c. if a card says it is compatible with directx 9.0 is that enough? or does it need to specifically be compatible with directx 9.0c? i know the game comes with a download of directx 9.0c. Anyone who can answer this and save me hours of more research would be a great help. thanks!

Hi and welcome to Virtual Dr.

It's all good news, the card should work, the card is compatible with DirectX 9.0c, and when the game is installing it will check for DirectX versions and install the latest version automatically.
