Sound card question
Hello everyone! I would like to know what benifits a Sound Blaster Audigy has over a Sound Blaster Live. I was thinking of upgrading in the near future.

In my opinion, not all that much. I have a Live! Platinum on one of my PC's and an Audigy2 Platinum on the other, and to be perfectly honest, I really can't tell the difference between them, sound quality wise. I think the Audigy had some big improvements for music production though, if you're into that sort of thing.
From all the reviews that I've read the new SoundBlaster X-Fi cards, are in a whole different league. If you want to upgrade, that would probably be a far better choice than the Audigy.
Nick.

Are there any good websites out there that sell the X-Fi cards? I'd like to price one. I think that for right now, I'll stick with my SB Live. I don't do any music production, and I'm only running a 2.1 speaker setup. When I get a house in the future, I want to get a 7.1 setup. I heard that's pretty cool for playing games.
