    IP conflict

My server PC has two network cards:

the first one is used to connect cable modem (internet)
the second one is wireless network. This is connection for laptop.

    Laptop is 5m from server.

I want to add the third PC (15m from server) and want to use patch cable. Problem is when i try to assign IP addresses 192.168.0.1 to server, error message pops-up warning me that two same addresses are on same PC. Which one card should have 192.168.0.1

    Hello MikeKea,

I take that one computer is acting like an ICS server since the first PC is connected to the cable modem. That means you don't have a router. First, it would help to know the operating system you are using for each of the computers on the network.

Check the ICS server which is the computer directly connected to the cable modem and open the command window and type ipconfig/all. That should tell you what card is using 192.168.0.1. It would be the network card connected to the local area network. It won't be the one connected to the cable modem.
