[RESOLVED] Video from PC to TV
i'm running xp home on a 4-year-old gateway desktop with a 1.20 celeron processor (i know, ugh) and integrated audio and video.
i have been downloading some video podcasts and watching them on my pc using video lan (thanks to recommendations in another thread). some of these have been almost 2 hours in length and it's just not comfortable watching something this long on my pc.
additionally, i've been getting flack from my gaming friends for my slow video.
so, i am thinking about buying a radeon 9250 256mb video card (my pc has only pci slots). i understand that it has a s-video output jack. my tv (panasonic ct-26d12d) has a s-video input jack. you can see where i'm going.
has anyone had any experience (positive or negative) in connecting their video card (radeon in particular) output to a tv input?
thanks in advance.

no reply necessary.
the installation of this card so stuffed my pc that i am returning it at my earliest convenience.
it interfered with my firewall (zone alarm), forcing it to shut down, and lost my task bar. after installation, my video was 10 times slower than my on-board video.
