I am using it now for about half an hour, and I am amazed! It seems to be a lot faster than before. I also downloaded some great new extensions. Its like seeing it for the first time. I am like a little kid on Christmas eve at the moment

Using my dial-up and the increased speed of this version is sweet......very nice...
Lost some extensions because of incompatability. Nothing I can't live without.
Installation was swift.

Great thing about this build is that it will update itself. No more having to download the full version and doing an over the top install. It will update all by itself!

When I tried the pre-release I just did an over the top install of 1.0.7.
Is that how you did yours, or uninstall old and install new ?
I think I did see a thread somewhere that the problem I was getting could be resolved by creating a new profile, but I didn't particularly want to do that as I'd loose bookmarks / settings etc.
Maybe I'll try again.

Yes, I did an over the top install. Whatever problems you had with the RC2 is probably fixed now. I would give it a chance and see what happens.

Hey I installed it at work and used it all afternoon with no issues.

I too installed at work but I had issues updating my extensions. I finally gave up and did a complete install. Wiped the profile and all! (Saved the bookmarks and cookies though.) That solved it for me. Ran fine after that.
So, at home, I did the same without even thinking about it. (Yesterday was a long day. I wanted no more issues of any kind!) After installing on 2 PC's, XP Home and 98SE, I'm running with no issues...

Many of the extensions are not yet updated to the 1.5 version, and so won't work. I got rid of all my extensions for the last version (1.0.7) and just went through the list of new extensions that I wanted. The only thing which I miss is the good old tab browser extension. Its not officially supported by Firefox, so it may take a little bit until its released. The tab browser extension I downloaded (called Tab Browser Preferances) is not as good.

Boy, that's the truth. I used TBP (because TBE was dead) but now with FF 1.5, I don't feel the need for TBP like I did before. You can now force new windows to be new tabs in FF itself and tabs can be dragged to arrange them in any order. Nice improvement!

I had my tabs tweaked to such an extent that I feel somethings missing. I hope the tabs extension will be updated soon.

Did my 2nd install of FF 1.5 at work and it too went badly. This time I tried an install over the top of FF 1.07. Again, no extension update would run. I dumped 1.5, deleted the original profile, reloaded and all is well.
In both cases, the PCs are running fairly lean and have no malware issues. I guess my personal upgrade approach to FF 1.5 will be to start clean on everything. Hmmm...
