Change my IP address using a Cable modem

Is it possible to change my Ip Address using a cable modem and a router?

WELCOME to virtualdr.

The router changes your public IP to a private IP number.
Now the public IP can only be changed by your internet provider.

To see your public IP use this link http://www.whatismyip.com/

Now to see your computers ip, go to Start, Run [type in] cmd and hit enter
In the box that opens, type in, ipconfig /all
then hit enter



What you will get looks like this. I just changed some of the vaues but not the general outline.
