    File Properties

When I click on "Properties" of any file and "Find Target", instead of seeing the actual file, I get the search dialogue box. It is kind of annoying, any suggested fix would be appreciated.

Find Target usually only applies to shortcuts. If you have uninstalled or moved files without recreating the shortcuts, you will get the search dialog; also, if you have uninstalled something and the uninstall didn't remove a desktop icon for instance.

Thanks, but the problem is with shortcuts and it is not a file that is uninstalled.

Yes, but have you done a right click on the shortcut icon and selected Properties? When you looked at the pathname in Target did that directory (folder) and file actually exist? Try going to where it is pointing via a folder view such as My Computer and try executing the file directly and creating a new shortcut and seeing if the new shortcut displays the symptoms.
