Yahoo Address to Comcast
I need to help my daughter move all of her Yahoo emaill addresses to Comcast. She uses Windows 98 SE if that matters. I use Windows XP Home.
I used my Yahoo as a test to see how it works but I cannot move the yahoo addresses. I did an export from Yahoo as a Windows CSV and saved the file to my desktop and went into my Comcast account to import them. The only information it brought in was unknown.
She only uses email on the internet so using Outlook etc. is not an option.
Can anyone suggest how I can move these Yahoo addresses to Comcast.
Thanks in advance.

Hmm.. I just tried it and it worked fine for me. I assume when you mean "Comcast" you are talking about Comcast's webmail. That is, going to comcast.net and logging on rather than downloading the emails.
I first went to My Yahoo address book and exported as Outlook format CSV. I then signed into my Comcast account - went to address book, chose Import Address book. I used Outlook CSV format - found the file on my computer, and said import. Is this the same method you used?

Yes it was Comcast Web Mail. Ok I did what you said and it worked perfectly. I must have done something wrong.
Thanks for your help.

Glad to help and glad it worked! When I first imported, it seemed like much of the info didn't come across. But then I realized that Comcast's address book uses tabs to separate the data once you click on a particular contact.
