import wab file into outlook 2003

Does anybody know how to import a windows address book .wab file into outlook 2003 without having to export it to a csv file first.

yes and no. very complicated situation. outlook express crashed due to virus. due to a corrupt address book outlook express failed to load, so I switched to outlook 2003 and found a backup wab file and tried to import, only to find you have export to a csv file in order import it.

Anyway last march I had backed up outlook express with one of those cheap outlook expess programs you can buy off the net.

I then proceed to uninstall and reinstall outlook express, which got it working again. did a restore of the address book and used the import option in outlook 2003 which worked this time becouse the address book wasn't corrupt.

Problem solved.
