I have lots of bad stuff, please help!!

Hello,
I seem to have lots of bad programs in my computer and don’t know what to do. It was ok until yesterday, when my antivirus program, McAfee downloaded something to update and when I restarted the computer this morning it won’t get connected, and every time I try to open something related to the internet, or to browse any directory, there is a window telling me that an potentially unwanted program has been found (newdotnet6_98.dll and newdotnet6_90.dll), and the application won’t find any connections. I think it has something to do with the McAfee download, because I restored the computer to an early control point and it worked again, until that same window appeared about the update, and after that, if I don’t exit the McAfee program, it won’t get a connection.
I think I’ve followed the instructions on the “Rules for HijackThis forum� correctly. I ran both, ad-aware and spybot and also ran two anti virus programs and downloaded all updates for windows that I needed as requested. The thing is that if I run those programs more than once everytime there are new problems, dialers and stuff like that. It seems that they’re entering my computer all the time! But if I run my McAfee program to prevent them from entering while I do all the steps, then I won’t get connected! And I can’t do all these things without connection, can I?

Go to Control Panel:Add/Remove Programs and remove NewDotNet. If it is not there, go here and follow Procedure 4: http://www.newdotnet.com/removal.html

If after you uninstall it you cannot get back on the internet double click on LSPfix.exe and then click on Finish

My internet is back to normal, thanks! Now I can use my McAfee antivirus again, but I don't think it's enough to prevent this from happening again. What else can I use?

Ups, now McAfee is telling me that I have PUP like NDNuninstall5_64, NDNuninstall6_98, NDNuninstall6_90 and many other like those all the time. What should I do?

All these pop-ups from McAFee are drving me mad. I deleted the ones starting with NDNuninstall but now there are files named A0135602.exe and similar (with other numbers) and it says they're from the program Adware-NDotNet. How can I delete them all without going one by one as McAfee detects them?

Hi,
after posting the last posts, I just shut down the computer and haven't touch it since then. But now the pop ups are no longer showing, so maybe I deleted all of them, I don't know. Anyway, I'll post an up to date log now so that you can tell me if I have something else wrong and if the pop ups start again, I'll let you know.

Congrats, Your log is now clean

The following is a list of tools and utilities that I like to suggest to people. This list is full of great tools and utilities to help you understand how you got infected and how to keep from getting infected again.

1. Spybot Search & Destroy - Uber powerful tool which can search and annhilate nasties that make it onto your system. Now with an Immunize section that will help prevent future infections.
   
2. AdAware - Another very powerful tool which searches and kills nasties that infect your system. AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy compliment each other very well.
   
3. SpywareBlaster - Great prevention tool to keep nasties from installing on your system.
   
4. SpywareGuard - Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.
   
5. IE-SpyAd - puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
   
6. CleanUP! - Cleans temporary files from IE and Windows, empties the recycle bin and more. Great tool to help speed up your computer and knock out those nasties that like to reside in the temp folders.
   
7. Windows Updates - It is very important to make sure that both Internet Explorer and Windows are kept current with the latest critical security patches from Microsoft. To do this just start Internet Explorer and select Tools > Windows Update, and follow the online instructions from there.
   
8. Google Toolbar - Free google toolbar that allows you to use the powerful Google search engine from the bar, but also blocks pop up windows.
   
9. Trillian or Miranda-IM - These are Malware free Instant Messenger programs which allow you to connect to multiple IM services in one program! (AOL, Yahoo, ICQ, IRC, MSN)
