slow to open

when i try to open word it takes approx. 3 mins. i have spyware stormer and ti is also taking a long time to open also when i run a scan with it, it gets through about 500 files and then freezes and doesn' respond anymore. what is happening?

Firstly, can you post your system specs, and version of Office, Spyware Stormer is listed at this site: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm which lists all suspect "Rogue" anti spyware apps, and that particular one looks to be illegitimate, what other programs of the same type do you use?

just downloaded an updated version of spybot and it found nothing. Thanks

You can't rely on one program, Spybot has set definitions on what to search for, like a sort of checklist to see if it is present on the system, what other programs do you use for spyware/malware/virus protection? what AV software? what Firewall?

Can you post some system specs please? if you don't know them, you can download Everest from my sig and find out system info with that.

i downloaded Spyware Blaster and when i go to open it up i get an error mssg "Error while unpackingprogram, code 4. please report to author"
what should i do.

Could be a corrupt download, i'd get it again and try it, if no luck then i'd leave it and try a different program to see if it's a problem your end.
