2000 installation problem
I tried upgrading one of my older computers which had Windows 98 to Windows 2000. Everything went fine until the system tried detecting/installing the keyboard and mouse. It said this part may take several minutes and the screen may flicker for a few seconds. However, the screen did flicker but went black and stayed this way for over 30 minutes. I decided to shutdown before the installation was complete since it wasn't doing anything. Now, I'm here.
Is this normal and should I just wait it out longer? thanks.
It is a PIII, 500 MHz, 28 GB hard drive. By the way, does the screen I'm using matter in this case? It's a 19" flat panel that I'm using.
thanks.
