this is really stressing me out now. i have abandoned fed 4 for mandrake as i hear that mandrake is more for linux beginners such as myself. i have tried as much as i can think of to connect to the internet via mandrake but am still unable to do so. i have tried searching the net for answers but cant seem to find the correct solution. i have a bt voyager 100 ADSL modem (GlobeSpan USB ADSL LAN Modem) in usb port and a 56k modem (VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter). neither of which i can correctly configure. can someone please give me a hand please. but be gentle. i am just starting out with linux. i use kde desktop if that matters btw.
