Wireless signal strength
I've got a network with one wired machine (XP) and one wireless machine(W2K) that's about 50 feet away from the router. Both these machines have an excellent internet connection.
Now I'm trying to add an XP laptop wireless. The problem is that this machine only very seldom indicates good signal strength and then only for a few seconds. Most of the time it indicates poor or no signal. Testing within 6 feet of the router gets the same results.
When I can connect to the router I can successfully ping the router but I can't connect to the internet.
I noticed that the user has somehow enabled "Network Bridge" in the network connection window. Is this causing the connection problem?
